1. Who operates this site
My RPG Source is an independent website operated by Jason Paul in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit myrpgsource.com or use its character-building tools.

2. Character information and browser storage
My RPG Source does not currently require user accounts and does not intentionally send character-sheet entries to a My RPG Source server. Character data entered into the builder is processed in your browser.
When you use the save feature, character data is stored in your browser's local storage. It remains there until you clear that browser data, overwrite the save, or remove it using available browser or site controls. Local browser storage is separate for different devices, browsers, and browser profiles.
JSON imports, JSON exports, printing, and PDF creation are initiated by you. Exported files are saved to a location controlled by your browser or device.
3. Technical information
Like most websites, the services that deliver My RPG Source may automatically process technical information needed to provide and secure the site. This can include an IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, referring page, and the date and time of a request.
The site is hosted through GitHub Pages. It also loads certain resources from third-party services, currently including Google Fonts and the cdnjs content-delivery network. Those providers may receive technical request information when your browser connects to them.
4. Contact messages
If you email My RPG Source, the information you choose to provide, including your email address and message, will be used to respond, investigate a problem, maintain appropriate records, or address a legal or privacy request. Messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
5. Analytics, cookies, advertising, and Google services
My RPG Source uses Google Analytics 4 to understand general website usage, such as which pages are visited, which device categories are common, and how visitors interact with site features. My RPG Source also uses Google Search Console to understand how pages appear in Google Search.
Custom analytics events are intentionally limited to product interactions such as opening a builder, selecting an edition, using print or export controls, opening Codex entries, following Knowledge Card links, and opening News or Guide content. These events are designed not to send character names, notes, backstories, ability scores, imported or exported character JSON, email addresses, or the text typed into Codex search fields.
My RPG Source may use Google AdSense to display advertising. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's previous visits to this site or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
Visitors may manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings . Visitors may also review additional industry opt-out options at YourAdChoices .
Where required by applicable law, My RPG Source uses Google's privacy and consent messaging to present choices for eligible advertising and analytics storage. Google consent mode is configured so supported Google services can interpret those choices. Non-personalized advertising may still use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting.
6. How information is used
Information described in this policy may be used to:
- Deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the website.
- Respond to messages and support requests.
- Understand general site performance and usage.
- Display and measure advertising, where advertising is enabled.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect legitimate rights.
7. Selling personal information
My RPG Source does not sell personal information. Advertising providers may process information as described in their own policies and according to the privacy choices available to visitors.
8. Data security
Reasonable care is used in operating the site, but no website, browser storage system, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not enter sensitive personal information into character-sheet fields.
9. Children
My RPG Source does not currently offer accounts and does not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information by email, contact My RPG Source so the matter can be reviewed and the information deleted where appropriate.
10. Your choices and requests
You can clear locally saved character information through your browser's site-data controls. You may also contact My RPG Source to ask about personal information contained in a message you sent, or to request correction or deletion where applicable.
11. External links
My RPG Source may link to external websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own operators and policies.
12. Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the site, its service providers, advertising practices, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when a material update is published.
